September 7, Tuesday ~ Local Tour: Ramadan Ramble
Learn all about Ramadan (the Islamic month of fasting) while touring Kampong Glam, one of Singapore's oldest ethnic enclaves. Your heritage guide will share with you local Malay culture and traditions while you stroll the sides streets along Jalan Sultan, shop for batiks and perfumed oils, and visit the old Sultan Palace and Hajjah Fatimah Mosque. October 5, Tuesday ~ Local Tour: Once Upon an Orchid
Orchids seem to be everywhere in Singapore and pop up in surprising places and ways in its history. Utilizing the theme of Singapore's National Flower; the Vanda Miss Joaquim, and its chequered history, our guide, Margie Hall, will take us out to two of Singapore's leading orchid gardens; Mandai Orchid Garden and Orchidville. October 11, Monday ~ Local Tour: Dreams of Sojourner
How did the year 1860 change the demographics of Singapore and South East Asia? This tour presents the life, dreams, aspirations and tragedies of early Chinese migrants. the various sites show what life was like for Chinese migrants and how they made sense of their new environment. October 23, Saturday ~ Kids: Halloween Golf
Put on your scariest or funniest costume and join us for a round of trick-or-treating and indoor mini golf! Careful though. Who knows what scary creatures, ghosts or goblins may join us! AWA Refund Policy
We always try to avoid cancelling events and activities, but it is possible that we may have to do so on occasion due to lack of interest. If we do have to cancel an event or activity you will receive a full credit to your AWA account for use against future AWA events or activities.
If you have to cancel an event or activity that you are registered for we require 96 hours notice in order for you to receive a full credit to your AWA account. In the event of you cancelling after this time, no credit will be given.
