AWA Burch Memorial Tennis Tournament 2021

The Annual Burch Memorial Tennis Tournament is fast approaching and we would love for you to play. This is the perfect opportunity for you and a partner to gain more tournament experience, have some fun, and meet new players in a social environment. Each pair will play five single-set matches in the first round. Winners will advance to the next round.
Both your partner & yourself must be current AWA members and all participants must have a current AWA assessment rating of 3.0 to 3.5. Sign up today with your partner on the AWA website. Please note your partner's name in the comment section.
Please note BOTH ladies in the playing pair MUST register for the event and make payment separately and indicate their partner's name in the comment section of the registration form.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS: Your assessment must be current ie. you must have been assessed within the last 2 years or you will be ineligible to play. You must be available for all 3 days of the tournament to register.
If you are unsure of your rating or rating validity, please email either assessments@awasingapore.org or tennischair@awasingapore.org and request to have your rating checked BEFORE registering for the tournament.
If you require an assessment please visit our Tennis page on the AWA website. There are 3 assessment dates scheduled for March. Even if these are full, please register for the waitlist and indicate in the comments section that you need an assessment for The Burch Memorial Tournament.
Format :
Day 1: Monday, March 29 - Round Robin
Day 2: Tuesday, March 30 - Round Robin (continued) & Quarter Finals
Day 3: Wednesday, March 31 - Semi-finals & Finals
(In case of rain the above format is subject to change.)
Please note: Arrival time 8:15 am for registration. All matches will start at 9:00 am sharp.
Please note this is a no cancellation event, which supersedes AWA cancellation policies.

EVENT PAYMENT (for online registration events):
You can pay using a PayPal account, or a debit/credit card. To pay with a debit/credit card, when you get to the PayPal screen, please click 'check out as guest'.
AWA REGISTRATION POLICIES:
• Bookings open on the first working day of the month.
• You must register in advance to attend an event.
• If an event is full, please join the waitlist, if one has been created.
• The event ends at approximately the listed time.
• Only adults over 18 years may attend AWA tours unless otherwise designated.
• Family members and out of town guests pay AWA member price, other Singapore residents pay the guest price.
AWA CANCELLATION POLICIES:
• If the event is marked non-refundable, then no refund can be given. You can offer your space to other members via the AWA Facebook Member Community and notify the office of any change.
• All other AWA event fees include a $5 non-refundable cancellation fee. This cannot be returned under any circumstances.
• If an event is not marked as non-refundable, you may cancel your attendance by emailing the event coordinator AND office@awasingapore.org up to 4 working days prior to the event.
• If you paid online, we will refund you via Paypal within 30 days. If you paid by any other method you will be asked for your preferred refund method, cash or check.
• You may transfer your attendance to another AWA member or to another identical event (e.g. Mahjong game to Mahjong game) no less than 4 working days prior to the event, by emailing office@awasingapore.org with the new attendee’s name.
• Cancellations received within 4 working days of the event will not be refunded.
